Plain-language summary: we collect as little as possible. You can use the app to study without giving us your name, email, or phone. Anything optional you share is used to run the app and improve your experience — we never sell it.

DMV Permit Pass ("the App") is operated by RG Loomis LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Required to work: the U.S. state you select (so we can show the right questions). This is not personally identifying.
Optional profile: a first name, age range, and city, if you choose to enter them, to personalize the experience.
Optional email: if you provide it, to save your progress and to notify you when your state becomes available. You can skip this.
Optional phone number: only if you opt in to study reminders by text. You can skip this.
Study activity: your answers, scores, and progress. This is stored on your device, and synced to our servers only if you provide an email for that purpose.
Basic technical data: app version, device type, and crash/diagnostic information to keep the app working.

We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to study.

How we use it

To provide and personalize the study experience.
To save and (optionally) sync your progress.
To send you study reminders or state-availability notices only if you opted in.
To fix bugs, improve content, and keep the app secure.

Payments and subscriptions

Purchases (the free trial, monthly subscription, or lifetime access) are processed by Apple through the App Store (and Google Play on Android). We do not receive or store your credit-card number. Subscription management is handled through your App Store account.

Children and minors

Florida's learner's-permit age is 15, so some users are minors. We are designed to minimize data from everyone: we collect an age range rather than a birth date, and email/phone are always optional. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at russ@rgloomis.com and we will delete it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the App (for example, subscription management and crash reporting), under agreements that limit their use of it, or when required by law.

Your choices

Use the app without providing email or phone.
Turn reminders on or off at any time.
Request access to or deletion of any data tied to your email by contacting us.

Data retention & security

We keep optional data only as long as needed for the purposes above, and use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
